Recombine Members

Recombines miscellaneous members that have been broken apart from their original member using Break Member Apart or Break apart.

1 . Invoke Recombine Members using the Find Tool by searching the command name and clicking the icon, which is pictured above.

2 . The status line prompts, "Select member(s) to recombine". Left-click (Select) one or more members that have been broken apart using Break Member Apart or Break apart. Press Enter or right-click (Menu) and select OK. Each miscellaneous member is recombined with the original member it was broken apart from.

Note 1: When there is more than one miscellaneous member resulting from Break Member Apart or Break apart, selecting the original member or just one of the miscellaneous members will recombine all related miscellaneous members to the original member.

Note 2: Members that were broken apart using Break apart require you to manually process them after using Recombine Members. They will not automatically process.

Alternative: Press Esc or right-click (Menu) and click Cancel to end the command.

  • The members will recombine under a single member piecemark and will be auto detailed on the same member detail.
  • The check box for Break apart will be unchecked ( ) on the recombined member's edit window.
  • For members that were broken apart using Break apart, unchecking the checkbox ( ) on the member's edit window also recombines the member and does not require you to manually process it.
